Dental Implants in Mulund West, Mumbai
A dental implant is a titanium post placed into the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once it fuses with the bone, a custom crown is fitted on top — giving you a tooth that looks, feels and functions like your own.
Implant treatment at Neem Dental Care is led by Dr. Anu Aggarwal Shah, BDS, MDS — a periodontist and oral implantologist with over 16 years focused specifically on implant dentistry. Because periodontics is the speciality concerned with the bone and gum that support your teeth, implant placement sits squarely within her core training rather than being an add-on service.
Every case begins with a 3D CBCT-guided assessment so we can measure bone volume and plan the exact position, angle and depth of each implant before treatment starts. This guided approach makes surgery more predictable, less invasive and considerably more comfortable than freehand placement.
We treat single missing teeth, multiple gaps, and full-arch cases where an entire jaw is restored on a small number of strategically placed implants. Where bone has been lost after long-term tooth loss or gum disease, we also carry out bone grafting and sinus lift procedures to rebuild a foundation strong enough to hold an implant.
Patients travel to us from across the eastern suburbs — Mulund East, Nahur, Bhandup, Kanjurmarg and Yogi Hills — because implant work rewards specialist experience. The clinic is on Devi Dayal Road, opposite Raj Hospital, with free parking on site.

- Consultation & 3D scan — A complimentary assessment with digital imaging to check bone volume, gum health and bite. You leave with a written plan and costs.
- Implant placement — The implant is placed under local anesthesia, usually in under an hour per implant. Most patients return to normal routine the next day.
- Healing & integration — The implant fuses with the jawbone over roughly three to six months. A temporary tooth can be worn during this period.
- Final crown — A custom crown is shaded to match your natural teeth and fitted onto the implant. Routine reviews follow to keep it healthy.

How much do dental implants cost in Mulund?
Cost depends on the implant system used, whether bone grafting is needed, and the type of crown fitted. Rather than quote a misleading headline figure, we give you a written, itemised plan after your complimentary consultation and 3D scan so you know the full cost before committing.
Is dental implant surgery painful?
The procedure is performed under profound local anesthesia, so you should feel pressure but not pain. Most patients describe it as easier than they expected — often more comfortable than a difficult extraction. Sedation options are available if you are anxious.
How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular reviews, implants can last decades and many last a lifetime. The crown on top may need replacing after ten to fifteen years of normal wear. Smoking and untreated gum disease are the two biggest risks to longevity.
Can I get an implant if I have been missing a tooth for years?
Usually yes. Bone shrinks after a tooth is lost, so a graft or sinus lift may be needed first to rebuild enough bone. A CBCT scan tells us exactly what is required — this is routine work for a periodontist.
How long does the whole process take?
Placement takes under an hour per implant. Integration with the bone takes roughly three to six months before the final crown is fitted. In selected cases an immediate-load implant lets you leave with a temporary tooth the same day.
Am I too old for dental implants?
There is no upper age limit. What matters is bone quality, gum health and general medical fitness rather than age itself. We assess all three at your consultation.
